It is these challenges that have conditioned the process of procurement, storage and delivery to become critical points of the company, because only with the condition of their maximum efficiency can success in the global market be achieved. The thesis analyzes the role and importance of storage management as a functional logistics subsystem with the purpose of achieving successful business. The storages, construction and design of storages, storages staff, modern tehnology in the storages, models of inventorymanagement, net value of inventories, inventory and audit of the inventories are elaborated. Comparative analysis shows innovative warehousing models of retail chains Amazon and Walmart.
