Abstract
Džin je vrlo popularno piće diljem svijeta. Potražnja je u zadnjih nekoliko godina vrlo porasla. Spada u jaka alkoholna pića i piće je koje ima vrlo zanimljivu i raširenu povijest. Proizvodi se od etilnog alkohola koje se aromatizira bobicom borovice (Juniperus communis L.) sa dodatkom drugih botaničkih biljaka poput sjemenki korijandera, kore citrusa, korijena anđelike i začina. Specifičnim okusom džin je podatan za miješanje kao džin i tonik pića i raznih koktela koji su u današnje vrijeme vrlo popularni kako kod mlađih generacija tako i kod onih malo starijih. U radu će biti prikazana povijest džina i njegova popularnost kroz godine, bit će opisana tehnologija proizvodnje, te spomenuta razlika kod stilova džina i bit će prikazani brendovi u Hrvatskoj i svjetski proizvođači.
Abstract (english)
Gin is a very popular drink all over the world. Demand has risen sharply in recent years. It belongs to a strong alcoholic beverage and a drink that has a very interesting and widespread history. It is produced from ethyl alcohol flavored with pine berry (Juniperus communis L.) with the addition of other botanical plants such as coriander seeds, citrus peel, angelica root and spices. With that specific taste, gin can be mixed as a gin and tonic and various cocktails that are very popular nowadays with both younger generations and those a little older. This work will present the history of gin and his popularity over the years. Describe the production technology, mention the difference in the styles of gin and will show the brands in Croatia and world manufacturers.
