Abstract
Siva ekonomija sveprisutan je fenomen diljem svijeta, neovisno o razvijenosti države. Pri tome nije svugdje prisutna u istom obujmu. Riječ je o trenutno neregistriranim ekonomskim aktivnostima koje bi pridonijele službeno obračunatom bruto nacionalnom proizvodu kada bi se te aktivnosti zabilježile. Predmet istraživanja ovog rada jest siva ekonomija na području Republike Hrvatske pri čemu je identificirana snažna prisutnost iste. Hrvatska se nalazi na samom dnu glede opsega sive ekonomije na području Europske unije. U radu se obrađuju kretanje sive ekonomije u Hrvatskoj kroz vrijeme, njezini pokretači kao i mjere za suzbijanje ove pojave. Utvrđeno je da je, usprkos brojnim Vladinim mjerama za suzbijanje sive ekonomije, ona i dalje visoko prisutna čime se da naslutiti neučinkovitost potonjih mjera mada su ostvareni određeni pomaci.
Abstract (english)
The gray economy is a ubiquitous phenomenon all over the world, regardless of the country’s development. It is not ubiquitous in the same volume though. These are currently unregistered economic activities that would contribute to the officially accounted gross national product if these activities were recorded. The subject of this paper is the gray economy in the Republic of Croatia, where a strong presence has been recognized. Croatia is at the very bottom of the size of the gray economy in the European Union. The paper deals with the movement of the gray economy of the Republic of Croatia over time, its drivers and measures to combat this phenomenon. It has been found that, despite a number of government measures to combat the gray economy, it is still very much present, suggesting the ineffectiveness of these measures, although some progress has been made.
