The main topic of this paper is an introduction to land Registry and its legal system of the Republic of Croatia. The basic terms, regarding composition of land Registry in general, as well as the publications' system of rights in rem, personal relations of holders of law rights, and legal facts of real estate are presented. The types of entries existing in land ownership system of the Republic of Croatia are registration, pre-registration and notation. The subject of registration and pre-registration are law rights, whereas the topic of notation are legal facts and personal relations of law rightholders. These types of land Registry entries are regulated under the Law on Land registration, the Law on Ownership and other rights in rem, Land registry rules of procedure and other legal acts. This paper will present a good insight into the land registry law and the institutes which handle it, as well as cover each type of registration more extensively.
